else seven is an independent label owned entirely by the designer, who manages all aspects of the business –from design and manufacture to purchasing, photography to pr. based in tokyo, the label has been in existence since april 2007 when it was first established in shanghai.

else seven's increasing focus is on creating products that have an eco-friendly concept.  from re-usable bags to kids' clothes made with vintage patterns and materials, else seven is working towards a future of products made entirely from recycled, reused, rescued, upcycled and vintage materials.  else seven also deals in a select range of vintage items which she plans to expand in the future. 

elyse singleton is a sydney-born australian designer based in tokyo.  also working sometimes as a freelance writer, proof reader, editor and photographer, she has a great passion for history, photography, architecture and art. relatively new to tokyo, she has travelled extensively and lived in shanghai, london and france.
