else seven is an independent label owned entirely by the designer, who manages all aspects of the business –from design to purchasing, photography to pr. based in tokyo, the label has been in existence since april 2007.

elyse singleton is a sydney-born australian designer based in tokyo. also working as a freelance writer, proof reader, editor and photographer, she has a great passion for history, photography, architecture and art. new to tokyo, she has travelled extensively and lived in shanghai, london and france.
fascinated by asia since a young age, her designs are inspired by the traditions and art of the region as well as vintage and retro styles. she creates quirky pop-art style designs reflecting her experiences.
she is a firm believer of the “every little bit counts” school of saving the environment. From turning off stand-by lights to walking to work, she reckons every one can make a difference.
